Play Outside the Game - Queen Maeve’s Trail

The Knocknarea Hike offers a unique blend of physical challenge, stunning scenery, and reflective space.

Your group will be led by our expert guide, Lucianne Hare, along the Queen Maeve Trail. The 2.5-hour walk rises through forest paths and open hillsides to the summit cairn of the legendary Queen Maeve.

Along the way, teams engage in light, staff-supported reflection activities — creating space for team values, shared conversations, and historical insights.

With panoramic views over Strandhill and the Atlantic coast, this hike is ideal for groups seeking connection through nature and a slower, more intentional team-building pace.

Elevate team unity, recharge and strengthen bonds through nature’s calm and purposeful rhythm

Meet Lucianne!

Lucianne describes herself as a simple Yorkshire lass, lucky enough to live all over the world, from New Zealand and Australia, to America and Japan, before finally moving to Ireland in 2017.

Settling into the rhythm and pace of this beautiful Emerald Isle, she is delighted to call the magical Wild Atlantic Way home.

A qualified tour guide, she has some of the world’s major hikes and mountains under her belt, including leading a group of 18 people to Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal. This expedition took over a year of preparation and raised over £45,000 for a children’s charity.

Big into adventures and keeping fit, she regularly sets herself new challenges, whether that be triathlons, long distance swimming, hiking, climbing or surfing.

Join me on the Queen Maeve Trail for a journey that’s part adventure, part reflection — and all about reconnecting through the power of nature.
